Chapchai Nirat’s Golf Swing


Chapchai Nirat is a professional golfer from Thailand who competes on the Asian and PGA European tours. People have given him a nick name and that’s ‘King Kong’ due to his long drives. He was born in Bangkok, Thailand on June 5, 1983. He turned pro at the age of 15 in 1998. A report states that as of now, he has earned around $ 570,000 in his career.
Chapchai Nirat achieved his first pro victory in 2004, in Genting Masters in Malaysia. On a European tour, he achieved his victory at the TCL classic Sanya, Hainan Islands, China. He opened with 61 in the first round and finished with a 22 under 266. He became only the third golfer from Thailand to win a European Tour event. His other two wins came at Hana bank Vietnam Masters.
Chapchai Nirat has been one of Asia’s most exciting players to emerge in recent years and is famous for his golf swing. He states that meditation helps him a lot in focusing on his game
During the Asian tour, Nirat’s best season came in 2007 where he had two victories and finished 9 times in top 10 to end up second in Asian tour behind Liang Wen-chong of China. All eyes are set on Nirat as he is the upcoming golfer who has tremendous potential. He also has a world record to his name of having over 72 holes.
